I can't undestimate the power of fresh fruit and vegetables. They are rich in essential polyphenols otherwise known as antioxidants that fight the harmful free radicals that are moving around the body. These are the cause of inflammation and premature ageing. We may not be able to fight them all but every antioxidant helps. Aim for 30 different types - fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices all count. The fresher and organic, the better.
